Accountability, Change, and Community Court

Dearborn County Drug Court
A drug and alcohol recovery program entitled, Accountability, Change, and Community (A.C.C.) Court that is a certified drug court by the Indiana Judicial Center. The mission of A.C.C. Court is to stop and prevent the use of drugs and the related criminal activity, by providing highly supervised treatment to return a participant to a functioning family, productive workplace and a stronger community. A.C.C. Court is a team effort between the Court, Counselors, Public Defender, Prosecutor, Probation Department, Law Enforcement, and the Southeast Regional Community Corrections.

To treat drug and/or alcohol offenders rather than simply punish them in order to improve the quality of life in our community by reducing recidivism, improving the use of public resources, saving lives, and breaking the cycle of drug and/or alcohol addiction.

Bridge Device

Reid Hospital
In a step forward for treating addiction, Reid Health has approved the use of the Neuro-stim System (NSS) Bridge for a limited pilot program within its practices. The Bridge is a drug-free, non-opioid pain management device that can help with the discomfort of opioid and heroin withdrawal.

Medical Stabilization begins with a short hospital stay while providing evidence based treatment for opiate addiction. During your stay at DCH, you will receive compassionate care and support, educational materials, and a discharge plan to assure proper support is in place after you leave. Medical Stabilization is a voluntary, scheduled admission, and patients must meet certain requirements.

The Dearborn County Jail Chemical Addictions Program (JCAP) is founded on the principle that effective chemical dependency treatment initiated early and comprehensively can alter the clinical course of one’s addiction to psychoactive chemicals.  Early intervention and treatment offered within a correctional setting has the ability to improve one’s social, emotional, spiritual, and familial functioning through a structured treatment regimen and setting.  JCAP will create a positive impact on clients upon release into the communities in which they reside by targeting those risk factors identified with increased chances for relapse and recidivism.

    Our Inpatient Unit is a 16 bed locked unit to provide a safe and therapeutic environment for those dealing with a crisis and symptom stabilization that cannot otherwise be treated in the community.
  • Outpatient Mental Health
    The goal of outpatient mental health services is to help people cope with current stressors in order to minimize the impact on their daily lives. Community Mental Health Center offers a variety of services for individuals, groups and families consisting of assessments, testing, evaluations, and psychiatric services, as well as individual, family and group therapy. CMHC professionals will assist your family to find the best program for you after the initial appointment.
  • Substance Use Services
    Services are based on the philosophy that substance use issues must be addressed in an individualized manner with assessment to determine the possible presence of mental health issues. Services are primarily offered in outpatient offices but can be integrated into any of our other programs.

Opiate, Heroin and Alcohol Addiction Treatment
