Clinical Nursing Instructor - Orientation
Full-Time, 80 hrs. per 2 week pay period
Primarily days, but may include some weekends
Licensed R.N. in the State of Indiana. BS or BSN preferred, must be currently enrolled in a BSN program. BLS required. ACLS and TB Instructor preferred. Five years successful Medical-Surgical nursing experience required. Must be knowledgeable of adult learning principles. Good communication skills a must. Computer skills with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint preferred. Flexibility in scheduling to meet education/community needs.
The Nursing Clinical Instructor is responsible for coordinating and providing orientation, continuing education, and staff development for nursing. The Nursing Clinical Instructor coordinates and provides community education as directed. Coordinates orientation of new staff and others to ensure appropriate quality education for employees. Develops and maintains nursing education programs that promote and contribute to hospital philosophy and goals. Develops and participates in community education programs as assigned by
the Manager of Education & Occupational Health & Education. Participates in Nursing Improving Organizational Performance. Provides clinical support and direction to ensure quality patient care. Exhibits an image of professional nursing leadership with a positive attitude and an ability to adapt to a changing healthcare environment. These elements are not all inclusive.
