90T (Modified F.T.), 72 hrs. per 2 week pay period
Primarily 9am-5:30pm Includes after-hours, weekend and holiday “call”
Registered Nurse licensed in the State of Indiana. NOTE: All RN's in the ED, ICU, and PACU must maintain a current ACLS license. Must be willing to work flexible hours, including “call”. 30 minute response time required when on-call.
The PACU Nurse renders nursing care to patients within the PACU Department and demonstrates knowledge of developmental needs of patient population specific to that department. (Patient population is defined in each department’s Scope of Practice). May direct the activities of the department or a specific work group for a shift to include assigning duties to professional and non-professional personnel, overseeing and evaluating work performance of other personnel and assisting in orientation of personnel. Assumes the responsibilities of Charge Nurse when deemed capable by the Director. The Nursing process is utilized to achieve patient care needs and implementation of appropriate plans of nursing care. Demonstrates clinical expertise/competency to ensure the appropriate delivery of patient care. Communicates appropriately, tactfully, and in an effective manner with the Medical Staff, Nursing staff, other department Managers, Supervisors, patients and families. Direction and leadership is provided to staff by the R.N. The patient care assignment or unit is managed to promote expected patient outcomes. Demonstrates appropriate precautions and responsibility to provide a safe and healthy environment. These elements are not all inclusive.
