OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST: Registered Occupational Therapist with the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy after successful completion of national registry exam. Licensed as an Occupational Therapist in the State of Indiana. Must have a valid driver's license. or CERTIFIED OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY ASSISTANT: Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant with the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy after successful completion of national registry exam. Licensed as an Occupational Therapy Assistant in the State of Indiana. Must have a valid driver’s license.
Description
OT: Responsible for evaluating, planning and implementing treatment programs for patients of the Occupational Therapy Department in accordance with the goals and philosophy of Dearborn County Hospital and in compliance with appropriate federal, state and local regulatory/accrediting agencies. Maintains daily departmental functions according to department policies and procedures. Responsible for technical administration of Occupational Therapy in accordance with appropriate regulatory and/or accrediting agencies. Follows established safety precautions and infection control procedures. or COTA: The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (C.O.T.A.) treats Occupational Therapy patients in a variety of settings and coordinates treatment with the Occupational Therapists (O.T.’s) in order to provide quality patient care and contribute to the goals and philosophy of Dearborn County Hospital. Responsible for the technical administration of Occupational Therapy in accordance with regulatory and/or accrediting agencies, as well as Dearborn County Hospital and departmental goals, philosophy and professional standards. Responsible for various cleaning and clerical duties. Follows established safety precautions and infection control procedures.
