Full-Time Exempt, 80 hours per 2 week pay period
Licensed Psychologist in the State of Indiana with HSPP endorsement. Prefer experience in addiction counseling as well as adolescent and family counseling. Must have 1-3 years of experience in hospital or healthcare field. Knowledge of social services/health and welfare agency operations. Must be able to work effectively with all age groups served by the Social Services Department, including infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Positive interpersonal and excellent communication skills required; basic computer skills required. Ability to be a flexible, self-motivated individual who is able to prioritize work requirements throughout the day and respond quickly to changing demands. Must display willingness to be a team member of the Social Work staff to ensure continuity of care for the patients served.
Work with individuals who are coping with a mental or physical illness. Counsel with emphasis on prevention. Work with individuals and groups to promote optimum mental and emotional health. May help individuals deal with issues associated with addictions and substance abuse; illness; adolescent, family, parenting, and marital problems; stress management; self-esteem; and aging. Oversee treatment plans for Behavioral Health Counselor.
