Occupational Health & Wellness
Full-Time, 80 hrs. per 2 week pay period
Licensed RN in the State of Indiana, BSN preferred. Education, Wellness, Occupational Health or related field required. Current BLS card. Five years acute hospital experience and three years employee/occupational health experience, with an emphasis on employer/community wellness programs. Occupational Health Nurse Certification preferred. Excellent communication and teaching skills.
As a member of Nursing Service this position has two areas of focus: (1) Delivery of Employee Health activities to maintain and/or improve DCH employee health, safety and well-being. (2) Delivery of Occupational Health programs for community employers; these programs will be results-oriented to better contain costs, improve their employees’ health, and increase employee participation in the wellness programs. This position provides back-up to other hospital education programs, and risk management. Delivers employee health program. Provides results-oriented occupational health for community employers. Assists with Hospital and Nursing Education programs. Exhibits a strong understanding of hospital and nursing policies to ensure appropriate knowledge is practiced while delivering care or delivered during educational programs.
