PEDIATRIC FIRST AID AND CPR COURSE OFFERED BY DEARBORN COUNTY HOSPITAL

Dearborn County Hospital is offering the American Heart Association Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid and CPR course on Friday, May 30.  The course will be held from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the conference facilities of the hospital, 600 Wilson Creek Road, Lawrenceburg.

The course covers first aid for children and cardiopulmonary resuscitation for all age groups.  Blood-borne pathogen training is also included.  Upon successful completion, participants will receive a card.  The course meets the requirements for childcare workers.

“Someone’s chance of surviving a life threatening situation increases with the more you and the people around you know about the signs and symptoms of these situations as well as CPR,” stated Tina Butt, RN, DCH Emergency Medical Services/Emergency Cardiac Care Coordinator.

Class fees are $40 and registration is limited.  The deadline to register is Friday, May 23.   For more information regarding fees or registration, please call the DCH Education Department at (812) 537-8431 or (800) 676-5572, ext. 8431.
