COPD TOPIC OF NEXT BETTER BREATHERS MEETING
The next Better Breathers Club meeting at
Dearborn County Hospital will be on Thursday, May 20, from 1:00 to
2:30 p.m. in the Ohio Room. Adults who suffer from asthma, chronic
bronchitis, emphysema, lung cancer, fibrosis and other respiratory
illnesses are welcome. Guests may bring a family member or friend.
May’s program will feature guest speaker Steven

in the DCH Emergency Department. Dr. Gunderson will present an
overview of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) and will
provide information related to asthma, emphysema, bronchitis and
other chronic lung diseases. In addition, Dr. Gunderson will
discuss what to do in the event of a respiratory emergency.
“Better Breathers is available to any adult

Pulmonary Rehabilitation Specialist and coordinator of the group at
Dearborn County Hospital. “The organization is designed to provide
motivation and encouragement for individuals to do everything they
can to keep their lives full and satisfying.”
The Better Breathers Club, co-sponsored by DCH
and the American Lung Association of Indiana, is a local chapter of
the national organization.
Meetings are free of charge and open to the public. Refreshments
