DEARBORN COUNTY HOSPITAL AND THE MIAMI CENTER HOLD ANNUAL SPRING HEALTH-A-FAIR

Dearborn County Hospital and the Miami Center in Cleves co-hosted their seventh annual Health-A-Fair this past Saturday (April 17).  Approximately 140 individuals participated in a variety of health screenings and viewed educational exhibits.

Some of the screenings offered at the Health-A-Fair included pulmonary function, blood oxygen saturation, blood pressure and an oral screening.  An optional blood chemistry analysis and prostate specific antigen (PSA) screening were also available as were free colorectal cancer screening kits for participants to take home.

Each spring, Dearborn County Hospital sponsors two Health-A-Fairs, one at the hospital and one at the Miami Center.  In 2010, approximately 640 participants total were screened at the two events.
