Another specialist has joined the Dearborn County Hospital Medical Staff.  Dr. Naila Goldenberg, a Board Certified Endocrinologist, will begin seeing patients in Suite 340 of the DCH Professional Building on Friday, August 15.

As an Endocrinologist, Dr. Goldenberg will specialize in glands and the hormones they secrete.  Patients may be seen by Dr. Goldenberg for a variety of reasons, some of the more common being diabetes, thyroid problems and metabolism and growth disorders.

Dr. Goldenberg is with the Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes & Metabolism at the University of Cincinnati Academic Health Center in the Vontz Center for Molecular Studies.  Prior to joining the Center, she completed Fellowships in both Research Endocrinology and Clinical Endocrinology at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.  In addition, Dr. Goldenberg completed both an Internal Medicine Residency and Internship at Cincinnati’s Jewish Hospital.  She received her Medical Degree from the 1st I.P. Pavlov Saint-Petersburg Medical University in Saint-Petersburg, Russia, where she also completed an Internship from the Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Infectious Diseases.

“We are extremely pleased to have Dr. Goldenberg join the DCH Medical Staff,” stated Carol Muehlenkamp, DCH Director of Patient Care Services.  “Her expertise in the area of diabetes will allow us to elevate the level of care available for residents throughout the area.

“Dr. Goldenberg will also be a valuable resource for patients with thyroid and metabolism disorders,” continued Mrs. Muehlenkamp.  “Also, as an Endocrinologist, she will address growth hormone issues, an area of expertise previously not available locally.

“At DCH, we are making a concerted effort to recruit physicians in key specialties.  Earlier this summer, Dr. D. Greg Palmer, a Board Certified Dermatologist joined the DCH Medical Staff.  Soon, Dr. Goldenberg will be arriving,” elaborated Mrs. Muehlenkamp.  “Hopefully, after the first of next year, we will have a Rheumatologist on the Medical Staff.  It’s all part of our effort to make your full service hospital as Comprehensive as possible.”
