Beginning in September, Dearborn County
Hospital Home Health & Hospice will offer its next session of
the Good Grief Adult Support Group. Open to the
community, the group is for adults who have experienced the
death of a loved one.
Tim Heller, MSW, LCSW, DCH Hospice
Bereavement Coordinator, will oversee the program, assisted by
co-facilitator Emmy Myers of Hidden Valley. Both Mr. Heller and
Mrs. Myers are spousal loss survivors. Topics include the
normal grief process, the impact of loss on the spouse and
family members, and how to move through the grief process in
order to go on with life.
“The group helps participants realize that
they are not alone in how they feel,” Mr. Heller explained. “It
also may assist them in learning how to cope with their changing
emotions.”
Good Grief will be held on Thursdays
from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m. from September 3 through October 22.
Sessions will take place in the DCH Home Health & Hospice
offices, 370 Bielby Road, Lawrenceburg.
There is no charge to participate in
Good Grief, however, advance registration is required. For
more information or to register, please call Mr. Heller at (812)
537-8192 or (800) 676-5428 on or before Friday, August 28.
