ADDICTION SPECIALIST COMES TO DOCTORS CLINIC

The Doctors Clinic has welcomed a new physician, Fred Moss, M.D., to its Aurora office.  Certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, Dr. Moss sees patients for drug, alcohol and other forms of addiction, in addition to a wide range of psychiatric diagnoses.

As a Psychiatrist in private practice, Dr. Moss treats patients of all ages.  He is available three or more days each week to meet with patients in his Doctors Clinic office, located in Suite 101 of the Library Court Medical Arts Building, 107 Bridgeway Street in Aurora.

In addition to addiction treatment, Dr. Moss’s areas of specialization include: work injuries and disabilities; child, adolescent and geriatric psychiatry; post-traumatic stress disorder; crisis response; suicide prevention/intervention; and dementia, as well as general psychiatry.

Dr. Moss received his undergraduate degree from Wayne State University in Detroit before earning his Medical Degree from Northwestern University Medical School in the Greater Chicago area.  He then completed a one year Internship in Psychiatry at the University of Illinois-Chicago, followed by a two year Residency in General Psychiatry at the University of Cincinnati. Continuing his clinical education, Dr. Moss completed a two year Fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at U.C. and Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center.

Having been in private psychiatric practice in the Greater Cincinnati area since 1991, Dr. Moss has worked with a wide variety of patients and clients.  In addition to treating patients on an individual basis, he has provided psychiatric consultations, independent medical evaluations and insurance reviews for a broad cross-section of employers, service providers and health and wellness organizations.  Dr. Moss also served for numerous years as a psychiatric consultant for 20 long-term care facilities located throughout the Ohio valley.

Dr. Moss is a member of the American Society of Addiction Medicine, American Psychiatric Association, American Board of Adolescent Psychiatry and the Cincinnati Academy of Medicine.
