The Medical Staff of Dearborn County
Hospital has announced its elected officers for 2008. The staff
recently voted to extend all positions to two year terms, with
the exception of the Member at Large and the Hospital Based
Physician Representative, both of which remain one year terms.
The new Chief of Staff is James Cole, M.D.
Dr. Cole is a Board Certified Radiologist with River Valley
Imaging, LLC. He joined the DCH Medical Staff in 1996.
Stephen Eliason, M.D., a Board Certified
Pathologist, was elected to the position of Vice Chief of
Staff/Secretary/Treasurer. The Vice Chief also serves as
Chairperson of the Credentials Committee. Dr. Eliason joined
the DCH Medical Staff in 2003.

Medical Staff Officers are responsible for conducting the
business of the Medical Staff, including quality assurance and
credentialing. They also work closely with the hospital
administration and Board of Trustees in strategic planning and
setting objectives for the continued growth and development of
Dearborn County Hospital and the medical community.
