Dearborn County Hospital Home Health &
Hospice is offering an educational support group for adults who
have experienced the loss of a loved one. The Good Grief
Adult Support Group, which is geared toward assisting anyone who
has lost a loved one, is open to the community.
Tim Heller, LCSW, DCH Hospice Bereavement
Coordinator, will oversee the program, assisted by
co-facilitator Emmy Myers of Hidden Valley. Topics include the
normal grief process, the impact of loss on the surviving spouse
and family members, and how to move through the grief process in
order to get on with life.
Mrs. Myers attended the Good Grief
series in 2003 following the death of her husband. Since then,
she has been a guest speaker for both Good Grief classes
and also at Managing Grief During the Holidays, a
separate program offered by DCH Home Health & Hospice.
Good Grief will meet from 7:00 to
8:30 p.m. for eight weeks beginning on Wednesday, April 9. The
sessions will be held in the DCH Home Health & Hospice offices,
370 Bielby Road, Lawrenceburg.
There is no charge to participate in Good Grief but
advance registration is required. For more information or to
register, please call Mr. Heller at (812) 537-8192 or (800)
676-5428 on or before Friday, April 4.
