Dearborn County Hospital is offering the American Heart Association Heartsaver Adult First Aid and CPR course on Monday, March 3.  The course will be held from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the hospital’s Dearborn Room.

This course covers first aid and adult cardiopulmonary resuscitation.  Blood-borne pathogen training is also included.  Upon successful completion, participants will receive a card.

“The chances of someone surviving a life threatening situation increase with the more you and the people around you know about the signs and symptoms of these situations as well as CPR,” stated Tina Butt, RN, DCH Emergency Medical Services/Emergency Cardiac Care Coordinator.

The fee for the class is $40 and class size is limited, with a registration deadline of Thursday, February 28.   For more information, please call the DCH Education Department at (812) 537-8431 or (800) 676-5572, ext. 8431.
