DCH HOSPICE GOLF TOURNAMENT NETS $3,700

Dearborn County Hospital Home Health & Hospice’s annual golf tournament raised more than $3,700 this year for the Hospice program.  A total of 84 golfers took part in the scramble held at the Hidden Valley Golf Club in Lawrenceburg.

The winning team was from D-D Vending in Lawrenceburg.  It was comprised of Ron Horstman, Vince Klee, Max Montoya and Todd Treon.  Each won a $75 Hidden Valley Golf Club Pro Shop gift certificate and a trophy.  Mr. Klee was also the major prizewinner, receiving a year’s membership to the Hidden Valley Golf Club.

Other winners were:

  • Bob Bridges, two lift tickets for Perfect North Slopes, for hole #8 closest to the pin;

  • Charlie Hill, four tickets to the May 30 Cincinnati Reds-Houston Astros game, for hole #10 longest drive;

  • Herb Blick, 2009 Bengals team photo autographed by Bengals Coach Marvin Lewis, for the “Welcome to the Jungle” drawing.

Each golfer received a golf scope/golf range finder, a sleeve of golf balls and a door prize worth at least $20.

This was the 16th year for the Hospice tournament, which each year attracts local business persons and golfers to play on the Par 72 course.

“Despite the recession of the past few years, the Hospice Golf Tournament continues to have loyal players who are willing to help Hospice both in spirit and through their monetary participation,” stated Rik Horn, RN, BSN, WCC, Director of DCH Home Health & Hospice.
