LEADOFF SPEAKER FOR 2010 BETTER BREATHERS MEETINGS
Dearborn
County Hospital’s Better Breathers Club has announced its schedule
for 2010. Meetings will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursdays, April
15, May 20, August 19 and September 16 in the hospital’s Dearborn
Room.
The speaker for the April 15 meeting is Keith
Allhands, R.Ph., DCH Assistant Director of Pharmacy Services. In
his presentation, “Medications for Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary
Disease,” Mr. Allhands will provide information and answer questions
pertaining to various medications including those prescribed for
COPD.
“Better Breathers is available to any adult
with a lung condition,” stated Dianne Williams, R.R.T., DCH
Pulmonary Rehabilitation Specialist and coordinator of the group at
Dearborn County Hospital. “The organization is designed to provide
motivation and encouragement for individuals to do everything they
can to keep their lives full and satisfying.”
Adults who suffer from asthma, chronic
bronchitis, emphysema, lung cancer, fibrosis and other respiratory
illnesses are welcome. Guests may bring a family member or friend.
Refreshments will be served.
The Better Breathers Club, co-sponsored by DCH
and the American Lung Association of Indiana, is a local chapter of
the national organization. Meetings are free of charge and open to
the public. Prior registration is not required but is
