This week, Dearborn County Hospital is conducting tours of its
new Patient Tower in advance of the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for
the facility on Friday, May 16, at 2:00 p.m. Both the tours and
the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony are open to the public.
Tours are
available on Monday, May 12, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.;
Tuesday, May 13, from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m.; Wednesday and Thursday,
May 14 and 15 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and on Friday, May
16, following the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony from 3:00 to 4:30 p.m.
Individuals
taking tours will see many highlights of the new facility
firsthand including the spacious lobby, the all private, patient
rooms on the first floor's Medical/Surgical Nursing Unit, the
Patient Registration area and the Internal Medicine and
Imaging/Radiology Departments, including the state of the art
PET/CT (positron emission tomography/computerized axial
tomography) scanner which is used in the detection and staging
of many types of cancer.
The Ribbon
Cutting Ceremony on Friday will be followed by a public
reception featuring light refreshments. Tours will also be
available following the conclusion of the ceremony until 4:30
p.m.
