DCH MEDICAL STAFF ANNOUNCES OFFICERS AND EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE FOR 2010-2011

The Medical Staff of Dearborn County Hospital has announced its Officers and Executive Committee for 2010-2011. 

Serving as Chief of Staff is Stephen Eliason, M.D., a Board Certified Pathologist at Dearborn County Hospital.  Dr. Eliason joined the DCH Medical Staff in 2003. 

Ashok Penmetsa, M.D., a Board Certified Cardiologist with Greater Cincinnati Cardiovascular Consultants, was elected Vice Chief of Staff/Secretary/Treasurer.  The Vice Chief also serves as Chairperson of the Credentials Committee.  Dr. Penmetsa has been a member of the Dearborn County Hospital Medical Staff since 1997.

In addition to the Officers, the new Dearborn County Hospital Medical Staff Executive Committee members are:

• Chief of Medicine:  Radu Zidarescu, M.D.

• Chief of Surgery:  Michael McAndrew, M.D.

• Chief of Obstetrics/Gynecology:  Edward Reece, D.O.

• Chief of Pediatrics:  Michael Caudy, M.D.

• Hospital Based Physician Representative:  Steven Gunderson, M.D.

• Member at Large:  Steven Langdon, M.D.

All officers and members of the Executive Committee are serving the first year of their two year term with the exception of the Hospital Based Physician Representative and Member at Large.  These positions each have a term length of one year.

Medical Staff Officers are responsible for conducting the business of the Medical Staff, including quality assurance and credentialing.  They also work closely with the hospital administration and Board of Trustees in strategic planning and setting objectives for the continued growth and development of Dearborn County Hospital and the medical community.
