DCH HOSPICE OFFERS
HOLIDAY GRIEF PROGRAM
Popular guest
speaker Emmy Myers returns to the annual Managing Grief During
the Holidays program offered each November by Dearborn County
Hospital Home Health & Hospice. Managing Grief is scheduled
for Saturday, November 7, from 10 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. in the Ohio
Room of Dearborn County Hospital.
The seminar, which
is free of charge and open to the public, is designed to help
individuals as well as families deal with the issue of grief during
special occasions and holidays, such as Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Tim Heller, MSW, LCSW, DCH Hospice Bereavement Coordinator, will
lead the program.
Emmy Myers of Hidden
Valley, a widow and a former participant of the DCH Hospice Good
Grief series, has been the guest speaker at Managing Grief
for several years.
“The holidays, when most people are celebrating
family togetherness, can be an extremely difficult time for those
coping with the loss of a loved one,” Mr. Heller explained. “This
program is designed to help individuals combat loneliness and to
reassure them that it is acceptable and appropriate to participate
in and enjoy holiday events.”
Reservations are requested by Wednesday,
November 4, although walk-ins are welcome. For more information or
to register for Managing Grief During the Holidays, please
call Mr. Heller at (812) 537-8192 or (800) 676-5428.
