ServSafe®
CERTIFICATION COURSE OFFERED BY DEARBORN COUNTY HOSPITAL
A ServSafe® Certification Course is
being presented by the Food & Nutrition Department of Dearborn
County Hospital in Lawrenceburg. The class is open to anyone who
works in food service, including restaurants.
ServSafe is a program of the National
Restaurant Association and offers a full range of food safety
training, encompassing basic food safety, personal hygiene,
cross-contamination and allergens, time and temperature, and
cleaning and sanitation.
Myra Glover, R.D., C.D., DCH Director of Food &
Nutrition and a Certified ServSafe Instructor, will lead the 15 hour
course for ServSafe Certification.
This two day course will be offered twice
during October. The weekday course will be presented on Fridays,
October 8 and 15. A weekend course will be offered on Saturdays,
October 23 and 30. All classes will be held in the Dearborn Room of
Dearborn County Hospital from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. each day.
The fee for the course is $175 and includes a
textbook, certification examination and continental breakfast.
