The American Heart Association Heartsaver
Pediatric First Aid and CPR course will be taught at Dearborn
County Hospital on Wednesday, October 14. Scheduled from 8:00
a.m. to 4:30 p.m., the course will be held in the conference
facilities of the hospital.
Covered in the course are first aid for
children and cardiopulmonary resuscitation for all age groups,
in addition to blood-borne pathogen training. Upon successful
completion, participants will receive a card. The course is
designed for those who must be credentialed and meets the
requirements for childcare workers.
“An individual’s chance of surviving a
life-threatening situation is increased when those around them
are knowledgeable of first aid and, when necessary, CPR,” stated
Tina Butt, RN, DCH Emergency Medical Services/Emergency Cardiac
Care Coordinator.
Class fee is $40 and registration is
limited. The deadline to register is Wednesday, October 7.
