The next Better Breathers Club meeting at
Dearborn County Hospital will be on Thursday, October 15, from
1:00 to 2:30 p.m. in the Ohio Room. Adults who suffer from
asthma, chronic bronchitis, emphysema, lung cancer, fibrosis and
other respiratory illnesses are welcome. Guests may bring a
family member or friend.
DCH Registered Dietitian, Joy Satek, R.D.,

present a program entitled, “How can proper nutrition help you
breathe better?” A question and answer session will follow.
The Better Breathers Club, co-sponsored by
DCH and the American Lung Association of Indiana, is a local
chapter of the national organization. Dianne Williams, R.R.T.,
DCH Pulmonary Rehabilitation Specialist, coordinates the group
at Dearborn County Hospital.
“Better Breathers is available to any
adult with a lung condition,” Mrs. Williams stated. “The club
is designed to provide motivation and encouragement for
individuals to do everything they can to keep their lives full
and satisfying.”
The Better Breathers Club is free and open
to the public. Prior registration is not required but is
appreciated. To register, please call the DCH Education
Department at (812) 537-8431 or (800) 676-5572, ext. 8431.
