The next Better Breathers Club meeting at Dearborn County Hospital will be on Thursday, October 15, from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. in the Ohio Room.  Adults who suffer from asthma, chronic bronchitis, emphysema, lung cancer, fibrosis and other respiratory illnesses are welcome.  Guests may bring a family member or friend.

DCH Registered Dietitian, Joy Satek, R.D., C.D., will speak at the September meeting.  Mrs. Satek will present a program entitled, “How can proper nutrition help you breathe better?”  A question and answer session will follow.

The Better Breathers Club, co-sponsored by DCH and the American Lung Association of Indiana, is a local chapter of the national organization.  Dianne Williams, R.R.T., DCH Pulmonary Rehabilitation Specialist, coordinates the group at Dearborn County Hospital. 

 “Better Breathers is available to any adult with a lung condition,” Mrs. Williams stated.  “The club is designed to provide motivation and encouragement for individuals to do everything they can to keep their lives full and satisfying.”
