LOW COST, LIFE SAVING VASCULAR
Welcome to the
Dearborn County Hospital Vascular Center
for the evaluation and treatment of peripheral vascular, cerebrovascular and venous diseases and abnormalities.
Located on the lower level of the hospital’s patient
tower, the Vascular Center is staffed by Board Certified
Vascular Surgeons Patrick Muck, M.D. and Matthew Recht,
M.D., and General, Vascular and Thoracic Surgeons
Michael McAndrew, M.D. and Mark McAndrew, M.D., in
addition to professional and ancillary
Our Vascular Center is
designed to care for patients with an abnormal artery
and/or vein diagnosis for any area of the body with the
exception of the heart. Among the more common
reasons patients come to the DCH
Vascular Center include blocked or narrowed arteries in
the arms and/or legs, abdominal aneurysms, blood clots
and clogged carotid arteries in the neck.
As a patient, you will be
examined by one of our four surgeons and all necessary diagnostic tests
will be ordered or performed. Once a diagnosis is
determined, a therapeutic plan of treatment is
established which may include surgery. Depending
upon the type of procedure required and other
contributing factors, the surgery may be performed at
Dearborn County Hospital or Good Samaritan Hospital in
Cincinnati. All four of the Center's
surgeons are credentialed to perform vascular surgery at
Our team of surgeons will
also work closely with your primary care or referring
physician to institute a comprehensive plan of care
extending from diagnosis through recovery and follow-up.
You will not need to travel to multiple locations or
worry about scheduling appointments. In many cases,
your entire continuum of care can be provided at
Dearborn County Hospital. In addition, a member of our Vascular
Center’s surgical team is also on call around the clock
for emergency care.
